I grew up in Suffolk County, New York and graduated from Half Hollow
Hills High School East. I attended an undergraduate school in the city and graduated
with a bachelor's degree in 2009 in Psychology, with a double minor in General Education
and Computer Applications and Web Programming. Then, I went to Adelphi University in order
to study Art Education. In 2011, I graduated with a master's degree and acquired my NYS
Initial Certification in Visual Arts K-12. I was a teacher for various grade levels in Uniondale
Public School District, with a majority of the time spent teaching art education at
the elementary and middle school levels. My research and educational philosophy focus
heavily on the influence of technology on pedagogy with a particular emphasis on the rise
of digital art in a digital age. I am continuing my research while pursuing a second
master's degree in Educational Technology at
Adelphi University.
